recommend me a game!

thinking about trying something different, so which of the following should i go for:

-Michigan- Report from Hell
-Romance of the 3 kingdoms VIII
-gitaroo man (think i saw it at the place i work the other day)

or any other obscure games you can think of that i can get (within reason)

so what should I go for?

camacazio Jun 5th, 2006 08:12 PM

i dunno those sound like shitty games so i dunno much about that

BlueOatmeal Jun 5th, 2006 08:22 PM

BattleField 1942 The Complete Collection.

If you like Action/Adventure games Beyond Good & Evil is a FANTASTIC game. It may be hard to find seeing as how I was one of the 10 people to buy it and stores wouldn't carry it.

the_dudefather Jun 5th, 2006 08:33 PM

yeah got BG&E a while back and played through it a few times, and have battlefield 1942 & 2

BlueOatmeal Jun 5th, 2006 08:42 PM

Well then fuck. I can't help you. I can't help anyone. I can't even help myself. :( :suicide

What kind of games do you like or are you trying to find a new genre to get into?

the_dudefather Jun 5th, 2006 09:01 PM

trying to find something different really, in the examples i used before (aside from the fact i seen them reviewed on consolevania and they looked quite good) i havent really played anything like them.

so looking for something new really, that isnt really that well known

Subspace/Continuum

It's totally free, incredibly fun to play, and it will take over your life.

Chojin Jun 5th, 2006 10:42 PM

Or it would, if it weren't the worst game ever created.

Cliff Steele Jun 6th, 2006 01:46 AM

did you play killer 7? it was nuts. also if you are just looking for something really obscure peta has a game where you play as a cow called steer madness, it looks awful but i kinda wanna play it, just to see what a game by peta would be like http://www.petacatalog.org/prodinfo.asp?number=COM110

It certainly did back in 1996, but I quickly got over it. (That switch to a paygame did not help any matters either)

I remember trying to play continuum back when we had an I-Mock server but the people there shot me and said mean things about me :(

Anyway, if you're looking for something new and unique, check out the Fire Emblem games if you haven't already. They're awesome :o

Switch to a pay game? It originally cost 20-30 bux to buy, but it's been a free game for a long time.

Misdemonar Jun 7th, 2006 03:34 PM

play system shock 2, it's now free at underdogs.

Guitar Woman Jun 7th, 2006 03:39 PM

What? Why? What happened to Looking Glass? :(

It was free until mid-1997, then it started dwindling down its userbase because no one wanted to waste bux on a cd for a free game they have played alot before.

Guitar Woman Jun 8th, 2006 12:52 AM

I just downloaded it twice. It won't work.

executioneer Jun 8th, 2006 04:41 AM

do you mean system shock 2 or the other thing

cause i think system shock 2 requires a nocd patch PLUS it may only run in win 98 compatibilty mode :(

Guitar Woman Jun 8th, 2006 01:31 PM

I saved the zip file to my hard drive and it wouldn't let me open it, then I tried opening it from the current location and it gave me the same error message :(

Misdemonar Jun 8th, 2006 03:40 PM

try get, you have to get xp patchand some DivX drivers, but all of the cut secenes on mine are upside down, and there is no sound in the game :(.
