when u say broken 360, do u mean cracked or its just internal?
and does it come with the controller and everything u need? |
The story on the 360 is that it got the 3 red lights (the internal problem one) so I called Microsoft up. I got the system in July or so and while talking to them they told me it wasn't under warranty anymore and that it would cost me $160 to have it fixed. So I declined.
The next couple of days I did some research on the problem and possible fixes. So I went on and opened up my 360. I tried the "hot air gun" fix and put some new thermal paste on. To my suprise the system worked fine. I played for about 1 hour a day for a few days or so and then it died again with the same red lights. Then Microsoft changed their policy to 1 year warranty. Of course this was all done AFTER I opened my system. I stilled called them though and tried to plea with them (including a supervisor) but they of course will not fix a 360 that has been "tampered" with. So it's just sitting in my house cause I don't want to touch it anymore. The broken 360 will come with basic cables but will not include a controller. You can try your luck fixing it (which you won't need a controller for) and if you get it to work, buy a controller. |
i dont know...i could sell it off to gamespot or somewhere for some money
well ill enter the contest...save the 360 for me : ) cant u lie and be like...i never opened it..i swear 2 more questions. What happened to the controller? And does it come with a hard drive? |
i will enter this contest only if i can get the broken xbox 360 & not microshock :lol
|
*sobs in corner*
but its my 360..... I already submitted my entry. |
I'd enter, but my story sounds too depressing to be true.
|
Hahahaha, my cousin got an XBOX box full of clothes last year. Man, he was jumping up and down and shit, I wish they had the pics.
|
I would enter, but I dont have a camera. Because my family is really Freaking Poor.
|
I'd post a picture of myself holding up my "secret santa" gifts, but I already threw them out. :(
|
Maybe I'll post next year if you have a competition. If we even have a christmas.
|
Well, at least the 360 MIGHT make for a good doorstop, but still wouldn't hold a candle to the Nintendo 64 (Which everyone and their mother owned) or the XBox (Which is a giant bludgeon of butt-rockin' death!)

I'm rebuying a 360 core system and using my HDD. So basically you will just get a broken core system (with core box) that just doesn't have a controller cause I'm keeping it. At least the generic 360 controllers are cheap. :P Quote:
Anyway, the more entries the better. Even then you can't find much better odds. We do, however, run contests occasionally. We'll normally have somewhere in the range of 1-3 a year or so depending. Usually a cool prize or 2 mixed in with some average stuff but it's all about trying to get the word out a little more. btw, I just finally got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed today (procrastination for years) so I'm a little out of it at the moment. |
