Summer Mock Meet 2003 Planning Phase II
 

Hell yes they are, Max! The location has been settled. Massachusetts is the choice of the majority. Next step is to decide when this soirée will take place. I'm thinking anytime in July or August would be fantastic. Once that is decided, we MA Mockers can start looking for cheap accomodations and planning what we're going to do. Speaking of what we're going to do, what kind of things do you want to see? Historical type places? Amusement parks? Bar, club-type places?

Let's get this thing done! C'mon, now! Let's go, let's go!

I don't know much about the historical landmarks and sites of Boston, so I'll defer to Carnie, or Spinster, or Burbank to show us the cool ones.

But one thing I DEFINITELY want to do is check out Salem and any other similar areas...the touristy bits and the not-so-touristy-because-they-are-actually-genuine bits.

Salem kicks Boston's ass, you'll friggin love it Proto. The comic store that I went to alone will make you cream in your pants. And if that doesn't do it... well, Burbank's always available for a quick hand-job.

And for the record, if Spinster has room for some guests again, I got first dibs (of course, that's only IF I attend this Mock-Meet).

We should at least spend one day in Boston, despite Rog's bitchy whining about how much it sucks. We should absolutely spend time in Salem. I'm sure Max has more than a few suggestions about what to do there. When we're done touring the town, we can have a party at Max's, get trashed, indoctrinate his children, and light furniture on fire!

In any case, Spad suggested August. Is that pretty good for everyone? Would you want to go during the week or a three-day weekend as he suggested? Work with me here, people!

The last time I went to a laser tag arena I came out all bloody. It was so fun pissing off all the "hardcore" people that took the game so seriously. Good times... good times...

Boston doesn't suck, it's just shit compared to places like NYC and Philly... but that doesn't mean people still shouldn't visit it and check out what good stuff there is there. But without a doubt, Salem is a damned fun place and I only got to spend a few hours there.

I'll try to make it to this one if I can, but no promises. Perhaps a bunch of us Richmonders can rent a car or somethin and drive up there together.

I've never gotten yelled at for running, but I always run right into someone every game.

Last time it happened I ran right into OJB with my gun out, then shot him to death after he fell over :(

August sounds good to me.

If you're looking at August, I have to recommend Cape Cod, about 90 minutes southeast of Boston.
It's a pretty damn popular vacation spot, with our population exploding by more than three times for the summer. Plenty of awesome beaches, both salt and fresh water.

And, if people coming here can all pitch in some money, you might even be able to rent a vacation cottage for a week. You'd all have a place to sleep, party, and hang out.


This is, of course, just in case anyone cares what I have to say.

August is good. The weekend of August 2nd to August 4th is ideal for me, as this is a long weekend in Toronto.

I just read my previous posts and i can say that i sound like a complete fucking idiot. if i wasnt me and some one else was yesterday i would have also made fun of the person that is me :( I am sorry you had to suffer through such a display of idiocy. I will return to my normal self now :(

In Salem I'd be happy to meet you all at the Willows. They let bikers there so there's no chance of them minding any of you. The Comic shop, Harrisons is WORLD CLASS my friend and I'm certain you'd show it the proper respect, so that's fine. Then we can bundle you all off to the Purple Scorpion for piercings. I can't imagine letting any of you near my wife, children or home. Why? Because I don't trust you in the least. I mean that in the nicest way.

I'd love for you to see the Museum of Science except I work there and I want to keep working there. It's possible you could go to a laser show without endangering my job.

Oh who am I Kidding? I was a camp counselor for ten summers and my wife used to be the assistant manager of a group home for retarded old ladies. I'm sure this will be fine.
