I am slowly but surely getting dragged deeper and deeper into Gothdom.

It started with basically having one or two Goth friends - I wouldn't go with them to a Goth night or whatever but when they have house parties with lots of JD and weed, you just can't say no. And do ya know the sort of people that go to Goth parties? Yes, more Goths.

Double Fuck.

It's interesting y'know - the sort of people that run the Film Unit in the student cinema are all Goths - and because I work setting the clubs and gigs, I invariably catch a late night movie for free, meeting more and more and more Goths.

Next thing ya know, I'm doing a DJ set at "Batfink" - a local Goth night (which is amusing, considering the only Goth tunes I have in my music collection are two albums of Goth Metallica covers and some 80's synth pop).

And to cap it all, you're currently sleeping with a Goth whose favorite colour is pink (!). Soon I'll be wearing black PVC and slitting my wrists just like the rest of them.

I think you should start wearing leather jackets. Jeans. wristbands. Metal tees. You should constantly headbang even when a metal riff is hummed, and do fist-bang RAWK! for no reason all the time. Army boots, man, army boots.

After a month, you'll be cleansed.

I think goths are silly, but I have to (and hate to) admit it...I think goth chicks are hot. Well, not all of them obviously, but there is something about the "goth" look that really gets me fired up. :(

I think it's the corsets and fishnets.

Those Goth clothes look too damn expensive for me. Sure I can afford a black T-shirt and some black cargo pants from Target but the rest of that pricey shit they wear could be spent on beer and drugs. They may just forget that they are loosers. That's all I aim to do.

The worst part is just meeting endless misfits. Generally when I go to parties and the like I stick to the people I know and avoid the rest of the greasy goths. Most Goth chicks that I know are definiately not "hot" for the simple reason that they only hang around with goths is because they are fat, ugly and can't get a shag.

Helm, yeah when I do go out with 'em I do generally just wear some green combats and a Metallica shirt or something like that. I am definitely not a Goth (last time I checked... :()

I have plenty of goth friends who are funny, friendly, and sometimes hot ( :love ). Maybe the fact that she likes pink is a good sign! Or, it's a sign that she's really a hardcore Carebears fan in the body of a goth.

It gets scary for me when a person makes it their way of life. Just the other day I was walking along some shops in the hot, baking sun, and there's this big goth girl all geared up in make-up and a huge black dress. I was surprised she wasn't sweating uncontrollably or something. :(

Yes, I know people like that too.

There's a fanatical Goth called Rogan who will typically wear a long black coat, frilly shirt, black waistcoat and a top hat!
