Satan is what makes it a good read. The Bible NEEDS the symmetry in order to define what evil IS. Parity in morality is what sells Bibles. Remember the "Goofus & Galliant" comic in Highlights magazine. Same concept. "God loves everyone and wants you to live in eternal bliss. On the other hand, Satan wants to damn your soul and witness your eteranal suffering in hellfire." After all, Where would Luke Skywalker be without Darth Vader ... just another Jedi coming of age film.
