WMAC Masters!

It's part of the Fox Box (Saturday morning lineup). For how long it's been on here, I don't know. But it's on. 11am on... well, Fox.

This show always kicked ass. I wish it was never cancelled.

I remember that. It was more dramatic than prowrestling. Whatever happened with that Jukido storyline? When they stole the trophy.

The Retro Kat Jul 12th, 2003 04:59 PM

Yeah, they stole the trophy, then they repeated. What the hell?

And there was always that group of good guys, like Tsunami.

James Jul 12th, 2003 05:14 PM

Hahaha. Tsunami was the one who stole the Dragon Star the second time, remember?

But yeah, it got cancelled, so the story never went past them walking away with the Dragon Star in a suitcase. I miss it. That and Battle Dome.

Also, for those of you who care (all one of you), WMAC had a lot of connections to Mortal Kombat, in terms of actors.

Chris Casamassa (Red Dragon): Played Scorpion in the first movie, and the TV show.

Hakim Alston (Maching): Played the warrior monk in Liu Kang's first fight in the first movie.

Christine Rodriguez (Lady Lightning): Stunt double for Kitana on the TV show.

Ho Sung Pak (Superstar): Motion capture model for Liu Kang and Shang Tsung in the first game, and Liu Kang in the second.

Richard Branden (YingYang Man): Stuntman for the first movie, and the TV show.

Carmichael Simon (Kid Carmichael): Played Liu Kang in the MK Live Tour.

Maybe this is why I liked the show so much.

I thought it was the other asian guy that stole it.

Edit: Wasn't it super star?

James Jul 12th, 2003 07:20 PM

No, Warlock and Tracer were the ones who stole it initially. Then when it was stolen again, Tsunami was the one working with Warlock and Tracer.

At least, I think they stole it twice. The episode that was on today was when they were having a trial about who was where, so it should come up soon enough.

The Retro Kat Jul 12th, 2003 11:43 PM

Is warlock the other asian?

James Jul 13th, 2003 06:33 AM

There's like 6 Asians. :/

Protoclown Jul 13th, 2003 10:05 AM

This show was fucking hilarious.

I have the Red Dragon action figure, whose special "action feature" is to swing his sword up and down in both hands, but if you take the sword away it looks like he's jerking off.

El Blanco Jul 13th, 2003 12:28 PM

Wizard was the bad guy. Warlock was his little brother who used to be bad.

They tried to steal it the first time, but it didn't work. Wizard was in disguise as one of the ninjas. Thats what they were working on.

Ah, I remember that fondly....too bad it died an unknown death.
