Part of me thinks this is a trick engineered by Sakurai to make the actual final roster seem that much more epic by comparison.

People have been bitchin' about the "lack" of characters.

I honestly can't think of another character I want for the game, so I'm good.

Still I realized the real problem is that all the awesome characters are either not secret or already announced, which is why this seems liek such a letdown.

Like if we just found out sonic, dedede, olimar, metknight, and pokemon trainer were in it would be the best roster ever.

So... Everyone is going to be picking this up then?

I am for sure, but I really don't know who I'm going to be good with this time around. I'm usually best with mario and I was good with ness on n64 but there's a loooot of characters here.

Meh, I've always been a link fag. I mean that in the sense I am a bastard to my friends, although online is something I dread because we'll have to deal with wave-dashers and glitch exploiters and the like.

I'll see if I can pre-order it tomorrow, although somehow I am doubtful.

They got rid of wavedashing, and tourneyfags are so raged about the abundance of random elements in every stage that they refuse to play it.

Of course, this will give rise to a new breed of pretentious Smash bastards, the likes of which will make your average Strikers Charged player seem like a friendly and sociable guy who is too much fun to hang out with.

WTF is wavedashing

It's a glitch in Melee that you can do with certain characters and it causes you to shoot around the stage at the speed of light.

Or something, I've never gotten it to work. Part of that might be because I still haven't grasped the concept after watching 3 videos showcasing people using it, but whatever.
