Greatest Beverage Ever: Drank

http://consumerist.com/tag/anti-ener...i+energy-drink

The Anti-Energy Drink. With Valerian, Melatonin, and Rose hips.

pac-man Jun 7th, 2008 02:18 PM

Sounds like beer for the under 21 set.

Fathom Zero Jun 7th, 2008 02:35 PM

I can get my blackness on, now, though.

pac-man Jun 7th, 2008 02:52 PM

Fo shizzle.

MattJack Jun 7th, 2008 03:49 PM

Seeing how I live in H-Town, Imma pick some of this shit up when I see it.

I like how they are trying to use the popularity of purple(pain medicine) to market to people, especially kids under 21.

Purple drank typically includes promethazine-codeine cough syrup which produces a stoned sedation. Promethazine is an antihistamine while codeine is an opiate narcotic.
Whow that sounds like a trippy drink. i don't know if i should drink it or inject it into my veins. :lol

darkvare Jun 7th, 2008 10:04 PM

Badabing Jun 8th, 2008 01:31 AM

One bourbon, one scotch and one beer.
Not necessarily in that order

pac-man Jun 8th, 2008 06:01 AM

WhiteRat Jun 8th, 2008 09:19 PM

Better yet they should use DJ Screw, Big Moe, and Pimp C to hawk their drank. Oh wait...

EDIT: Also, i'm sure Indo G would love to have them use this song in their commercials:

Knowing your lawsystem, it shouldn't take too long before the first lawsuit against Drank for being responsible of a fatal accident is filed.

Fathom Zero Jun 9th, 2008 02:00 PM

Lawsystem sound like a word a foreigner would use.

What exactly would cause a fatal accident? You do know that there are no pharmaceuticals in this beverage, right?

pac-man Jun 9th, 2008 07:22 PM

I guess he's referring to the outside chance somebody falls asleep at the wheel after drinking it.

I'm not saying Drank would be the reason for the accident, but all the retarded people could claim it to be the reason. With accidents I mean for example falling asleep while driving or becoming generally more accident-prone with tools etc.

executioneer Jun 10th, 2008 06:03 AM

thats why they'll put a nice disclaimer on it removing them from liability if people do stupid shit like that

RaNkeri Jun 10th, 2008 06:32 AM

Too bad it hasn't worked 100% with tobacco :rolleyes

executioneer Jun 10th, 2008 06:42 AM

they didnt start disclaiming those until well after everyone was addicted to them already

pac-man Jun 10th, 2008 07:26 AM

But still, Executioneer, our "lawsystem" is pretty crazy.

executioneer Jun 10th, 2008 07:54 AM

crazy like a fox

Adarg Jun 10th, 2008 09:36 AM

Yo, G! This DRANK be off the chizarts!

So that's where I fucked up! You have to use Simpsons quotes/references when and where they make sense. Damn!

BTW, I live in TX and have looked for Drank. Can't find the shit anywhere.

liquidstatik Jun 10th, 2008 11:39 AM

I requested that my local EZ-Mart purchase a case :o

I don't know about that. Its been well-established for years that Benadryl causes drowsiness, but you don't hear about people claiming that it caused an accident and suing about it.

Chojin Jun 10th, 2008 04:35 PM

That's because it's a side effect and not an advertised theme of the product.

Yeah, but Benadryl is marketed under the name of "Sominex" as a sleep aid as well, with drowsiness as the advertised theme of the product.

Chojin Jun 10th, 2008 04:49 PM

would you like to make a bet on whether or not tyrone will drink a 6-pack of these and then drive through the window of a hair extensions shop? and then someone's lawyer gon' get CALLED, mm hmm? :gyrate

Sorry, living in baltimore has made me racist ;<

MetalMilitia Jun 10th, 2008 04:50 PM

This is the worst idea for a drink ever. It's like guitar woman - the drink.

Tadao Jun 10th, 2008 05:31 PM

I'm sure they have already thought about lawsuits and have loopholes in place. If they haven't then they deserve to be sued and shut down.

"crazy like a fox" is not a fucking simpsons reference you jagoff it's a phrase that's been in use since the 1940s >:

Yar, I don't know what I'm doin. :(

Jeanette X Jun 10th, 2008 09:25 PM

I doubt that the drink has a high enough quantity of the ingredients for it to have anything other than a placebo effect.

ElPila666 Jun 11th, 2008 04:52 AM

Don't say placebo, it will ruin the illusion :(

MattJack Jun 20th, 2008 04:15 PM

LOOK AT WHAT I BOUGHT TODAY AT THE LOCAL CORNER STORE

Fathom Zero Jun 20th, 2008 04:18 PM

Have you slowed your roll yet?

MattJack Jun 20th, 2008 04:24 PM

I tried it.

Didn't do anything to me really. Well, besides leave a lingering piss taste in my mouth. I think it's a bunch of bollocks

Sethomas Jun 20th, 2008 04:24 PM

I hate the irregularity and regional inconsistencies in English for the preterite and past participle forms of "to drink". "He's drunk because he drank too much alcohol." -"How much had he drunk?" -"Enough to be drunken." UGH.

MattJack Jun 20th, 2008 04:27 PM

I just use "drank" a lot in everyday language

why?

cause i'm from the south, which means i'm uneducated

eliz.lanier Jun 22nd, 2008 12:45 PM

How does that stuff taste? I'm curious but don't want to try it if it's just overpriced Dimetapp.

"Slow your roll"? I'm sorry but what does that even mean? Guess I'm just dumb :( And it's says "relaxed energy" haha

Fathom Zero Jun 22nd, 2008 01:07 PM

Hahahaha. You don't know what "Slow your roll" means.

uve jus been skooled bruh

10,000 Volt Ghost Jun 23rd, 2008 11:14 PM

I still haven't seen this in stores but there's no way it's as good as the Redman/Method Man Passion Fruit Juice.

WhiteRat Jun 24th, 2008 12:42 AM

Of course it's not as good. It's Drank for Zeus' sake, it's the ANTI-energy drink. A drink so bold and original it has to mimic a codeine laced drink to suck the kiddies in.
