Strangely, Opera doesn't give me any ads.

it's not an ad, I'm actually being redirected to a spam page by the site.

Am I the only one? Does this site hate me THAT MUCH? :(

You probably have malware on your system. Run an AVG scan.

Seriously. I'm on the forums on this computer and my work PC, and neither one has ever redirected me anywhere.

I also suffer from redirection. This site hates me, but that's okay. If I wanted to be loved I definately wouldn't come to I-MOCKERY.

well, it only does it on this site, and anyone who has the appropriate half of their brain could put two and two together and assume that I-Mock is doing it.

That actually happened to me today at home and I have the new firefox. It had a red spam alert.

If you guys keep experiencing this, please look into what ads are up at the top of the page at the time. Take a screenshot of it if possible. Because if it's happening while you're on the forums, there's only one ad at the top of the page at a time, and it could be some shitty ad that snuck in through Google's Adsense program (my ads default to Google when my primary ad network doesn't have any more ads to serve at the time). If we can narrow it down to what ad contains the redirect, we can make sure it gets eliminated from whoever is serving it.

That being said, I've yet to experience this problem and I'm on this site countless times a day.

Yeah, I've had the same thing happen to me exactly per GW's original post. I'm on what I assume is the newest version of FF.

I'm on the latest version of firefox and run scans all the time, and it's happened to me once. My window just inexplicably got hijacked to some sort of "WANT ANTI SPYWARE SOFTWARE? OKAY? YOU SAID YES, RIGHT? OKAY! HERE IT COMES!" that actually had a (probably fake) download bar. I couldn't get rid of it even with an end-task. I'll try to screencap if it does it again.

That's odd that it's only happening to some of us. I don't suffer it, I use Adblock like MM.

My computer just informed me that it protected me from a malicious attempt at accessing my computer from a remote IP address. I can check the address in the log and post it if you think it might help.

Never happened to me on any browser. :( :)

I disabled a bunch of ads from a network that might be the culprit, but since this has never happened to me I can't be sure if it will do the trick. Lemme know if any of you experience the problem again, and please try to get a screenshot of the problematic ad if possible.

Worst I have ever experienced on this site is the occasional "10 millionth visiter" pop-up. All I had to do was use the series of adware/spyware removal programs I use and it stopped. Haven't seen the pop up in a couple of years though.

Rog, you must have gotten rid of whatever was causing this, because it hasn't happened to me since Saturday.
