If you can get a screenshot of it, please post it here so I can try tracking down the offending ad.

I've contact the various ad reps to see if they can track down any audio ads running on the site as I've repeatedly told them we do not want to run any audio ads. I still haven't gotten the ad to load myself, but I'm sure I'll know it when I see... er... hear it. If any of you see it and can give me the exact url that it points to, that might help the ad agencies track it down.

it's the "microsoft internet explorer has blocked this site from dowloading files onto your computer" popup :( i've gotten that too

darkvare, I'm guessing it's just cookies or something? Is there a way for you to check what files it's asking you to download? You should never have to install files to view the site though, and I've checked it plenty o' times with the latest versions of Firefox and IE. I don't have any active-x crap or files set up to download... the only pop-ups you should even get on the site any more are if you're logged in and somebody sent you a new private message (but you can disable that in your user settings).

This one tends to stall my browser for about 10 seconds, then ask me "This flash plugin is causing the page to load slowly, would you like to ABORT ABORT ABORT" or something like that.

Emailed Fastclick/Valueclick about the annoying sound ad since they're apparently the ones running it (even though I specifically selected to filter out all audio ads). Nice to know they check their ads before running them. Think I'm gonna try finding an alternate remnant ads network because they've been pulling b.s. like this all too often.

I've gotten the circuit city pop up ad 3 times already today and I've only been at here for an hour.

A lot of time the ads that you see are based on previous surfing habits via tracking cookies etc.

Having said that, I'm not surprised by the Gay Chubby Dating posted above.

Are you on f*ref*x? Are you on Ad block Plus? Did you subscribe to the blocked ads thing correctly?

I use firefox, have no supplementary ad blocker, and have never had a problem with pop-ups from this site.
