Dead Kennedys - what a great band to get into when a teen. So many bands dwell of self pity and emotions that, in fact WE ALL get but emo bands pander to this, so teens think they're somehow special for suddenly developing a need to write poetry and cry. Fuck that. Dead Kennedys at least made me feel a fool for such self indulgence even if they couldn't stop me. Jello gets it wrong a lot, but at least he gets any fan thinking about what he says - which is question everyithng, imncluding himself.

Johnny Rotten, I never took his lyrics seriously but his book was very clever. He came across as genuinely annoyed at rich cunts exploiting the goons, and now he is one!

Am I the only person on the planet with no desire to be stupidly rich....having enough for a comfy lifestyle and travel is just enough for me. And that's a lot, what more is to be had, really?
