Michael Jackson passes away.

Say what you will about how weird the guy was, but there's no denying how big of a musical influence he was or how insanely talented he was. I always hoped he'd get past all the media mess and get back into songwriting. Being a part of the generation that grew up on his music, it's kinda sad to know that's never gonna happen.

May you dance with the zombies forever MJ. :O

I have never known a world without Michael Jackson. I'm frightened.

Zomboid Jun 25th, 2009 07:47 PM

Same here :(

robo_rob Jun 25th, 2009 07:51 PM

yeah, I'm pretty sad about it.

eggyolk Jun 25th, 2009 07:53 PM

michael jackson died years ago

Kitsa Jun 25th, 2009 07:53 PM

How bizarre. I'd heard he was rushed to hospital, but I thought he was going to shoot out of the hospital roof in a shower of glitter and call it his biggest comeback ever.

Tadao Jun 25th, 2009 07:54 PM

Jackson Five still sounds great, I think I only really liked his solo stuff because of Smooth Criminal.

Kitsa Jun 25th, 2009 07:55 PM

He scared the bejesus out of me with the yellow eyes at the end of the Thriller video, when I was a kid. It caught me completely off guard.

farrah is also dead but she's not getting any news coverage whatsoever because of michael. :(

Dimnos Jun 25th, 2009 08:05 PM

Because they know what's important.

Phoenix Gamma Jun 25th, 2009 08:08 PM

He died years ago. What do you think that pale, rotting corpse was?

But seriously, I won't miss New MJ, but he kicked ass back in the day. Kinda weird to see him go, but after he became such a huge spectacle, I'm glad it's done with.

Geggy Jun 25th, 2009 08:25 PM

I apologize for my original thread. I'm pretty bummed about it. Mtv is currently showing some of michael jackson's stuff. I'll always cherish the moment he and I were in the same building when I saw him in new york city during the victory tour back in 1985.

darkvare Jun 25th, 2009 08:25 PM

Ten bucks says he pulls this out of his casket.

Tadao Jun 25th, 2009 09:20 PM

OH SHIT, I forgot about a funeral. That's gonna be insane.

Mockery Jun 25th, 2009 09:24 PM

People always seem to forget about this video, but it was always one of my favorites of his - and the song was awesome too.

They're gonna start lowering it in, and then there's gonna be a huge BANG, followed by smoke coming out of the hole. When it clears, Black Michael Jackson will be standing on his tombstone, saying 'I'm not dead! I'm alive, and I'm here to ROCK YOUR WORLD ALL OVER AGAIN!'
Insert kicks and 'ah-heeyuh-heeyuhs' as necessary.

I didn't really like that video, if only because it was part of a giant movie of him bragging about how awesome he was. Make up your mind, Mike. The song was good, though.

Also, there are rumors now that Jeff Goldblum died too. I'm hoping that's false, though. He seemed alright when he appeared on the Colbert Report.

mburbank Jun 25th, 2009 10:05 PM

You all realize this means I am now the King of Pop.

The Leader Jun 25th, 2009 11:08 PM

And what a righteous and just king you are.
