Old Game Music

What are some other great soundtracks from systems such as the NES and Sega Genesis? I've been listening to the Revenge of Shinobi music over 'n over again... anybody have any other recommendations?

"Terrible Beat" = :love

Twinbee 3 has a lot of cool songs.

I like the music in RoboWarrior too.

LegoLars Dec 6th, 2003 06:44 PM

Tatakai no banka has cool music too. And the Batman series.

Darklord?

I could go on forever.

Zero Wing's music was actually pretty good ;(

Definitely Streets Of Rage, though.

MEGAMAN >:

I listend to Megaman 3's intro music for 100 minuets yesterday. :(

Ghost of Fraiser Dec 6th, 2003 11:23 PM

You dickweeds, Hill Top Zone has the best Sonic music.

Streets of Rage 2's is awesome.
Although repeative, Comix Zone's music is pretty cool.

Zomboid Dec 7th, 2003 02:10 AM

I loved comix zone and splatterhouse 3's soundtracks.

camacazio Dec 7th, 2003 02:20 AM

Sonic 2 was filled with good stuff.

I bought Maximum Carnage for genesis today. First genesis game I've played with shitty music. It's fun, but sounds horrible.

"The magician" on NES. Radical.

Edit: "Castlevania 2: Samus' Quest" had great music. Even thought the game was sub-par.

Eternal_Champion Dec 7th, 2003 07:07 AM

Road Rash for Genesis :orgasm

mew barios Dec 7th, 2003 03:13 PM

only a tremendous fool would call cv2.. sub-par o...o ug. magician does have good creepy music tho. i remixed it's title theme once upon a time.

anyway :O
off th top o me noggin,
dragon spirit, journey to silius, shatterhand, crystalis, duck tales :>, firehawk, that first tmnt game :o, guardian legend, strider, just breed, kirby :D, crash n th boyz, shadowgate, totally rad
and things that should be obvious to most people
castlevanias, megamans, ninjagaidens, bionic commando, metroid, battletoads, river city ransom, final fantasy(1), and.. guh. i can't remember good. on genesis, there was the eccos, road rash, chakan, shining force, top gear, rocket knight and most probably many others i never got a chance to play.

Ninjavenom Dec 7th, 2003 04:21 PM

don't forget Megaman X, Sigma had that awesome speed-metal guitar as his theme for the first battle. :O

Spider-Man: Lethal Foes also had some good tunes.
