yes they are. Buy "Follow the reaper". Their best album. "Hate crew deathroll" is good also.

I saw them live a couple weeks ago and was blown away, they put on a damn good live show plus they really got the fans into it. But for some odd reason i talked to their vocalist after the show, and the dirt bag was wearing eye liner.

if you like children of bodom you should check out the keyboardists side project; Warmen. Warmen usually have instrumental songs with lots of keyboardy stuff. i personally think they are very good. they have a few songs in which they sing, my favorite vocalized songs from them are "spark", "dawn" and "singers chance" you should check them out. as for the instrumental stuff i recommend "beyond abilities", "war of the worlds", "warcry of salieri", "salieri strikes back", "finale" and "into the oblivion".

I really like COB, in fact they're one of my very fave bands. BUT: Why does Alexi have to SPIT so much? I mean, really: He's spitting ALL THE TIME on stage!

i always thought their songs sounded like what they played in american gladiators... or churches(keyboards) or video games(wanking), for some good old brutal death metal though, everyone should check out pyaemia and gorgasm.
