please suggest cool hardcore for me
I like the converge guy and the isis guy so i like bands like uphill battle converge old man gloom isis ect but i find trouble finding any other good bands :/
|
the finger.

Does grindcore count? Get The Poacher Diaries split by Agoraphobic Nosebleed/Converge. Some of the best material by both bands. Umm.. if you like Isis Old Man's Gloom etc obviously get Neurosis albums. Through Silver in Blood and Times of Grace, mainly. Cult of Luna are excellent too. Mastodon are going to kick your ass. Get both 'Remission' and 'Lifesblood'. Candiria are ok. Caliban are simple and nice. Knut are awesome. Then you could venture into more technical territory by picking up stuff from The Red Chord, The End, Botch, Human Remains, East West Blast Test, Dischordance Axis, Crowpath, The Dillinger Escape Plan etc etc

Deadguy
Skycamefalling Himsa Bleeding Through This Day Forward |
A big seconding on deadguy. Excellent band. I also like Today is the Day but you might not :(
|
i'm really not to keen on wanky guitar riffs, i don't like the metal side of metalcore. its not thick enough for me
|
E-Town Concrete and Earth Crisis
hahaha I would like to second Knut, Poacher Diaries, Mastodon, and Caliban, (everyone already knows DEP rule) but Helm already seconded something, so now i'm big mister copycat guy. Thanks a lot, you greek bastard. Check out Shora, definitely. Those are some "fresh jams." Pig Destroyer, if you're the only person on earth who hasn't heard them yet. Racebannon are weird techno/hardcore, kinda like The Locust. You might like Skitsystem, too. I'd say Hope Conspiracy, The Suicide File, and Eighteen Ghosts for more traditional, less distorted hardcore. Probably not your bag. |
i like sworn enemy......
|
examination of the... definitely. um, helm is always spot-on as usual. i'd add harkonen, coalesce, burnt by the sun, the standard business but i'm guessing youve tried them already. bucket full of teeth, orchid, swing kids, daughters as well.
|
Uh...Black Flag?
|
daughters, bodies in the gears of the appartus, dillinger (of course), unearth, the locust, some girls, and old poison the well, such as "the opposite of december." (new shit suuuucks)
|
oh, and eighteen visions. they might act gay, but the music's good. :)
|
I recommend Premonitions of War, Misery Index, Byzantine, Scar Culture, and Blacklisted.

Tough Guy:
Too Pure To Die, Swear To God, (NEW) Throwdown, Sworn Enemy The Promise and Comeback Kid = amazing old school hxc revival stuff. Metalcore bands that will change your mind about the genre: This Present Darkness, As Hope Dies, Darkness Remains (both from WV and they're amazing). Cheesy ass Saves-The-Day-left-their-lyric-sheet-at-our-practice-space metalcore - 7angels7plagues, Misery Signals. I also find some good ol' Hatebreed doesn't hurt every so often. I can give you more if you want, though I havent really listened to hardcore much lately. More into metal now. Oh, and as always I have to plug End This Day (defunct). |
Cripple Bastards
Anal Cunt The new Unseen album :lol |
As I Lay Dying and Hope Conspiracy are both real good.
|
Flachenbrand are pretty good. Fuck on the Beach if you like hardcore/grindcore from Japan. You might like Insult too. It's a band that Seth from Anal Cunt plays in, but they have a different guy singing.
|
Seth from anal cunt plays in Full Blown AIDS which is good.
Also, asschapel, mysery, wolfpac, toxic narcotic, and assuck are all good. For most hardcore stuff, just go to cahrecords.com Good prices, good stuff. Buy a record player though =( |
