Best movie based on a TV series.

I say South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut. I just bought it. I forgot how fucking hilarious it was. Its time to laugh at Saddam again.

Beavis and Butthead do America is pretty funny too.

:love Night at the Roxbury was fucking great!

Jixby Phillips Jan 21st, 2004 05:44 AM

I saw that movie 2 months before it came out in theaters.

The best movie based on a TV series?

Maybe:

as a continuation of the series: Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me. or maybe the Jackass movie. South Park movie is pretty great, too. MST3k the movie is just as good as the TV show.
remake: The Brady Bunch movies

Biggest Disapointments: Mr. Show's Run Ronnie Run, Mr. Bean's Bean.

Looking forward to: Strangers With Candy: the movie. I don't think they can do wrong.

I just wonder how the swc movie is gonna be released. I dont really see it coming to major theaters, maybe smaller film festivals, or even straight to dvd, any word on this?

I have to agree with the south park movie, it was very enjoyable at the time.

"Be careful Mole"
"Careful? Was my mother careful when she stabbed me in the heart with a coathanger while I was still in the womb?"
"Man, that is one fucked up little kid"

"Can I have some of that candy Cartman?"
"Well, lets see Kyle. Hmmm... Nope, I don't think I have any JEWISH candy here."

:lol :lol :lol

whoreable Jan 22nd, 2004 07:57 AM

Brain Candy was pretty good I thought. It wasnt recieved all that well but I thought it was very funny. I cant believe i forgot it :(

Jixby Phillips Jan 22nd, 2004 10:44 PM

I didn't forget about Brain Candy. I don't consider it a movie based on a TV series. It's a movie that is done by a comedy troupe who formally had a TV show. Just because one came after the other doesn't mean it's based on it.

You don't go around calling Strangers With Candy an Exit 57 spin-off, do you? Yet, I'm sure that if Strangers With Candy were a movie from the start, people would call it an Exit 57 movie.

But for the record I love Brain Candy more than any of you.

I can't go on, this is BULLSHIT. :eek

The occasional MST3k movie to continue the series wouldn't be so bad. :/
