I think you'd actually like Astral Projection, Helm. They started off into industrial and have been around for 15 years or so. Think of them as the Front 242 of psy trance.

I don't understand why everybody doesn't love psy - it's like video game music made with high end synthesizers. Just ignore the obligatory amateur Photoshop filtered/abused album covers and cheesy 'psychedelic' references and it's great!

there are no other records. Control and Resistance is the seminal progressive metal masterpiece, which started the genre too. After that, they disbanded in the process of making 'Mathematics' ( long before 'math metal' was a term) and have recently come together and are finishing up on said album, 15 years after.
