There's some Robyn Hitchcock concert on TV. I hate it, I hate him. His songs are bad enough, but his "funny" stage banter is even worse.

you should look into negativland's back catalogue, milhouse

listening to negativland made me want to dig into some girl talk cutups and the tape beatles.

Negativland sounds amazing, but if this is a gateway band to legitimately enjoying mashup artists I don't think I'll ever forgive you for it

People've been experimenting with cut-ups and tape loops for the past five decades. I think there's enough variety there that you can avoid the trite garbage of today.
