Just got a vinyl copy of Alice Cooper's Constrictor album.

Phoenix Gamma Nov 15th, 2010 05:21 PM

new Girl Talk album. Shit's pretty good.

Fathom Zero Nov 16th, 2010 07:51 PM

It's okay. I've been let down by a lot of ma$hup$ recently, like Ludachrist's new mix. Girl Talk's still a nice show, though. I'd go again.

There was a nice GYBO compilation earlier in the year, though, that was pretty nice. Before there were mashups, there were bootlegsssssss

Phoenix Gamma Nov 17th, 2010 01:10 AM

Yea it's definitely not as good as Feed the Animals. Every track from that album was tight.

Ex Leper Nov 17th, 2010 03:08 AM

Overlooked classic.

Ex Leper Nov 21st, 2010 06:54 PM

I'm really into the music of Sparks at the moment.

Esuohlim Nov 21st, 2010 06:59 PM

Late Sparks and Early Sparks are awesome but I pretty much hate Middle Sparks. :/

Anything released before and including Big Beat, and anything released after and including Gratuitous Sax & Senseless Violins is good. All the middle stuff kind of sucks.

Ex Leper Nov 23rd, 2010 07:28 PM

Thanks for the the tip. I will definitely add them to my amazon page.
I have played this track over and over and can't get enough of it. I'll probably ask for that album first.

Are you referring to when the album came out or the copy I purchased?

The album came out in 1986 and I found a really good used copy at a pawn shop.

10,000 Volt Ghost Dec 2nd, 2010 11:43 AM

I found the space ghost cd in my girlfriends car so we were listening to that. It wasn't the musical bbq one though. It was the other one.

Did anyone know they had a new album out? I just stumbled onto it at Best Buy. This album is really good.

Fathom Zero Dec 17th, 2010 02:11 PM

It's weird to say that David Lynch has a single, much less that it's good.

Aaarg Dec 17th, 2010 06:57 PM

Babs Dec 27th, 2010 09:25 PM

I have a feeling you might like this Fathom Zero, if not that's alright.

Check out their album Union Cafe. Here's an excerpt from an interview with Simon of PCO.

"I was on the beach sunbathing and suddenly a poem popped into my head. It started out 'I am the proprietor of the Penguin Cafe, I will tell you things at random' and it went on about how the quality of randomness, spontaneity, surprise, unexpectedness and irrationality in our lives is a very precious thing. And if you suppress that to have a nice orderly life, you kill off what's most important. Whereas in the Penguin Cafe your unconscious can just be." Simon Jeffes, Penguin Cafe Orchestra

edit: I had to add this, it's just amazing

I give it a B+

Couple of songs I can live without, a couple are decent, and a couple are great. Like any Cake album, it will probably grow into an A- after more time.

I just want they to play a show for a normal damn price. $45 to see them play an hour (if that) set is unfuckingcontistutional.
