The new Battles album is excellent. I'm diggin' this song right now. It sounds like something Fathom would listen to
Movie clip with short-haired pretty girl is completely coincidental :( |
TOO NEW. :rolleyes Non, j'aime bien cette chanson.
You might enjoy this, Hilmouse - |
KING CRIMSON SAMPLES GIVE ME BONERS |
I don't know what it is, but this song has been stuck in my head lately. Judge me, I don't care.

dude what the fuck here's something that pisses me off.
i'm 25 and i have spent a lot of my time in the past decade+ looking for music on the internets and i just found out about the gun club. the albums that aren't the first one don't really do anything for me but jesus christ fire of love is a goddamn great fucking album |
My fave Witch House group at the moment. |

What? No love for Mike Doughty or They Might Be Giants, Mr. Indieface?
|
OK THOSE TOO, but I think I've completely burnt myself out on TMBG :(
The indie music is a fairly recent development and I'm still quite ashamed, thanks jerk ;_; |

They're from KY(Paducah maybe?) which I don't think is too far away from you. They don't play the washboard anymore though :( |

Yes. That's it. I know the people who shot one of their videos. I knew the name sounded familiar. |
|
If you are a fan of hip-hop I highly suggest picking up Ab-Soul's "Longterm 2". Good shit.
|
|
I wish I could listen through TMBG's albums for the first time all over again :tear
Hell of listening to some John Zorn right now. The dude was already hipster faggoting way back in the '70s ![]() |
lol
I really really love Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac. |
And music's always good if you have a lot of it, which is to say that you don't listen to the same thing for a year or two and come back to it. I love TMBG so much in high school, but I dig it again now the same, if not more.

I had pretty much lost all interest in Townsend after Synchestra, but the new Deconstruction album has a couple of pretty awesome songs. This is one of those. |

LIMP BIZKIT THANKS TO THRASHO DAMMIT

![]() A 2-CD collection of studio outtakes for songs that they never included on any of the original 3 Stooges albums and only played live (Head On, Cock in my Pocket, Open Up and Bleed, etc.). They're not very polished, so it still feels like a bootleg album, but at least Iggy doesn't sound like he's about to have a heart attack on stage and die like he does on every single fucking live recording he's got |
I can't see Iggy without first remembering him on Pete and Pete, then remembering the Venture bros episode with him on it.
|
It's decent hash, it's decent hash, I swear on my tache it's decent hash. |
Also, Stereolab is how I now know where Miss Modular's name came from :eek :eek |
|
I keep hearing this sound like Homer Simpson. |
My mom and I had a big argument about Iggy Pop the other day. She watches American Idol, you see. Apparently he was one of those "guest experts" or whatever they're called. My mom had no idea who the fuck he was, she just knew that some old man was up on stage without a shirt on and she didn't think that was very dignified for someone his age.
I tried to explain Iggy Pop to her. She doesn't seem to understand. Finally, I looked up the performance on Youtube and it's so petrifyingly lame that I can barely handle it. Number one, it's not right without the Ashetons. Number two, it's so watered down it's barely recognizable. Number three, the idiot contestants dancing up on the couch...I was embarrassed for them. compare to: |
Welcome back to America Dave Smasher. This has the most personal significance to me from their new album. Still another 8 years for me. :( |
Not my favorite crack rock steady band (that would be choking victim), but I enjoy them all the same. |
They're badass. /i like how they were uploaded by m xpx. lol
|
One of the guys I used to skateboard with was a huge christian and always tried to put mxpx into my boombox while we were out. I broke his cd once because of that. Ended up buying him a new one though, to keep things civil. I didn't even realize that mxpx face was on there haha
|
I used to listen to to shit out of this album when it came out. |
They weren't bad back then, but I was too busy listening to AFI and Against All Authority to really care much about them. That was back before AFI was all emo about ghosts and pumpkins or whatever they're doing now.

|
I started to say, "I love MC Chris sometimes" but amended it to, "I love MC Chris. Sometimes."

|
is that wu-tang and fugazi?
|
They played one of the best shows I've ever been to. Opened up with the band 'By the Grace of God' whom I discovered too late to see them again, then At The Drive-In, followed by the Murder City Devils. That was back when venues were cheaper to get into and I only paid 9 bucks. |
Come back Sikth :( |

It's a mashup isn't it. For a second I thought the bands got together and made an album. Fugazi has been known to do that.
|
Yeah, I apologize if there was confusion. I've been burnt out on mashups for the past year or so. The internet's just been inundated with shitty dance tracks for a while. But when someone takes the time and effort to make a whole album or mixtape, especially of two distinct and disparate elements, then I can dig it. The first track off Wugazi is great and I think the others'll grow on me.
There was a Jay Z vs. Brian Eno thing a little while ago that I had on repeat for a while. |
Cool, the Jay Z Vs Eno sounds pretty. :O
|
:eek |
Sehr gut
And this one's just silly |

OUTKAST - PLAYER'S BALL
goddammit i love outkast |
Last night Mr Kitsa was listening to a series of Ramones covers by Screeching Weasel. I'm not sure what it was exactly, but their drummer's cymbals drove me up a wall. It was all I could hear...TING-TING-TING-TING, TING-TING-TING-TING. I don't know why it bothered me so much.

He wears a tracksuit and a baseball cap And if he had a gold chain he could probably rap |

Tony Pulis is from the same part of Newport as me. He is indeed one hell of a bloke.

End of a Year - Marissa Wendolovske
|
What do you think about Death Grips, Whiterat? A propos of nothing.
|
Honestly i've only heard guillotine and it's different to say the least. Not bad, just different but in an interesting way.
|
There's a lot of aggression and yelling in it, which I don't really hear a lot of these days. I really dig 'im. Not really Top 40, but then the best rarely are. |
