i saw a video of a recent merzbow show and it's kinda like watching someone fall asleep at their computer, but less exciting. though i will admit to still enjoying most of his releases (nowhere near as much as the old shit), the guy is NOT an entertainer.

It's billed under the theatre space section, so I was kind of under the impression it would be all mad visuals to go along with the playing. Especially with O'Malley's graphic design work and all. Shame :(

Also, since Adept and i were shut out of the Darkest Hour/Zao show, we have a chance to see Pelican live. Has anyone else seen them? I'd like to know if they're worth the trip. I like them, but i'm not sure if i like them enough to see and enjoy them live. I don't do any drugs, so i'm afraid i might get bored :O

what are you talking about? I don't do drugs and Pelican are like 100% total joy for me. All of their songs.

I am also a Pelican fan, but i'm just not sure how good they'd be live. Only one way to find out, i guess :O
