I'm not listening to anything! Let me dig in my favs.
Here ya go. I was actually gonna post this last week when I was listening to it.
Here's a good one. And yes I was actually listening to it and then thought of this thread.
Steve, I got a real treat for you!
I didn't know if the had it on youtube, but it's they do and it is in awesome quality! |
That was cool, are they all instrumental? As for the DM, I really like them, I haven't heard any full albums, from start to finish so I'll have to do that in the next few days. Miles Davis doesn't really tickle my pickle. I have "In a Silent way" and I never really wanted to listen to much more than that.
I'll get you that Jif Juz soon. If not today, Monday.
I had this album on vinyl. I wish you guys could hear the warmth. :(
I just got that, I'll give it a whirl tonight. I think I like this last one better than roy's tray so far.
Roy is the 1st and ends with Dub. The in-between is... interesting.
Mixed feelings. DeeDee Ramone essentially (mostly) wrote it, but Tommy nixed it for their setlist so it went to the Heartbreakers. I thought that for the most part it sounded like a fucking mess with them, but then it was junkies singing about being a junkie, so... I thought it sounded much tighter when the Ramones finally did it, but then there was the "is DeeDee home/is Arte home" thing, and changing it to "Chinese Rock" was silly...it's about heroin, just say it's about heroin. |
wow I thought it was thunders and richard hell that wrote it, then the ramones covered it, but now that you say this I think it was just a thought of mine and then I started to believe it was fact. That happens sometimes.
oh and tadao I listened to the dif juz album this morning and it was great, but I kept feeling like I needed to get some acid.

I actually prefer this cover, but I generally can't stand RATM and the live version sucks.
I like the presidents of the u.s. cover
Hadn't heard that one before. Interesting.
One weird thing about the MC5 is that Rob Tyner died of a heart attack at 46 and Fred Smith died of a heart attack at 45. Granted, they did a shitload of drugs, but Wayne Kramer did more and he's still around. Just thought that was strange. |
The god damn singer from Rage Against the Machine looks fucking X-pac from that shitty wrestling bullshit.
I promise this has nothing to do with a pocket full of shells. |
:lol
You don't understand the complexity behind this piece. It's modern day Don Giovanni. edit: Almost as expressive as this fine piece |
Ween - Common Bitch
I like how in this version Jello looks OUT OF HIS FUCKING MIND in the beginning. |
up for a bit with the pastels
Normally I was not too keen on Patti Smith because I thought she was a bit too into herself as a poet (just my opinion), but I thought this was a much stronger and better version than all the covers that were done. Nevertheless, props to Patti for what she did for the genre I love. |

embedding disabled by request, sucka

Yeah, but you click again and can see it on their account. I guess they want hits points or some shit.

Fuck yeah. The Frank-n-Furter who walks past at 1:34 is Dori Hartley, who was one of his most famous impersonators at the time. |
The pirates of the caribbean level from "Adventures in the magic kingdom" game. I used to play this game just for the music when I was young.

I used to babysit for their fill-in drummer (when Karen was on just vocals).
He was an interesting guy. He had a 4-foot portrait in his living room of himself and his wife standing in a field of pot, holding bouquets of it to their noses with blissful expressions. |
I've had "I'll tumble for ya" stuck in my head for 3 days now and it won't leave. :(

I am listening Miles Davis - Kind of Blue and Franz Ferdinand. Both albums are very nice to listen. I like to listen them all the time. |
I Don't Wanna Go Down to the Basement- The Ramones
there used to be a great scooby-doo style animation on Youtube to go with it and I really wanted to post that, but now I can't find it. |
I'd like to see that.

It's been removed due to copyright issues by WMG

David Bowie - Starman
Thank you, alarm clock radio |
pavement - crooked rain, crooked rain. L.A.'s desert origins.
Aggrolites - The sufferer.
I was listening to their 4th album when this song came on and I looked at the track title in my car. At first I thought it was called "The Surfer" and thought it would be a bouncy/surfy feel good tune. It ended up being really depressing and then I looked at the title again realizing it was called "The Sufferer" instead. :( |
Pain Of Salvation/The Perfect Element/Morning On Earth

This Heat - Makeshift Swahili

Trust me, you do not want to be me. Babysitting for that couple was always an adventure. They'd actually travel on purpose during the wife's last trimester of pregnancy just so the baby would be born somewhere cool. I remember one of the kids was born in Jamaica, I don't remember about the others. I remember thinking, "Wow, that's a health and money luxury I'll never have." They also had a very Great Gatsby style life where people could come and go at all hours. I can't tell you how unnerving it was to think you were alone in the house with the kids at 2 am and walk downstairs to see some strange guy standing at their bar. That never failed to scare the shit out of me. They also had a Kato Kaelin-type houseguest who lived in the basement and he scared me too. |

"Evisceration Plague" -Cannibal Corpse.
There is absolutely no reason for anyone not to like this band. They are fun, and beyond hilarious. |
Now with extra drugs! |
