EDIT BECAUSE I WANT TO BE CLEAR ABOUT WHAT I'M EDITING: i was completely shocked at the lotr sweep. i was positive that lotr wasn't going to win best picture and all i really cared about it winning was best director.

All the LotR awards were basically given this year to the trilogy. Everyone knew this was going to happen when RotK was released.
