Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes is out
 

Once I get off work I'm going to try and find this game. I like MGS alot better than MGS2 so a remake wasn't a bad idea in my mind. Especially as a Gamecube exclusive. I'll post my thoughts if I get it tonight. Anyone else?

i agree MGS is better than MGS2. MGS2 just sucked all around. but is twin snakes that one with all the rumors saying that the character you are could quite possibly be big boss? either way, i'm gonna hopefully pick that up as soon as i can.

I'm not sure what extras they have but it is just a remake of MGS. Silicon Knights is involved in this one as well.

I liked MGS2 it just wasn't as good as MGS.

No, that's Snake Eater. Twin Snakes is a remake of MGS from PSone.

You might as well rent it. It is a very short game but it looks awesome. I'll be renting it this weekend. I never played throu the entire orginal since I didn't own a PS but I'm looking forward to playing it.

Same here. I want to buy it, I'll just wait until the price goes down. I just bought Viewtiful Joe, not that I regret it at all, and I'm watching my spending. :( :(

Like I mentioned I never played the entire game so I was just going by reviews I read. Viewtiful Joe is a great game. I still can't beat the Lion. :(

I dunno, I beat the Lion and the entire game over the course of a week. I plan to redo it on Adult as well.

The last boss was easy. :/

I'm seriously pissed off cause it won't come to my town til tonight or Friday.... Blargh. Too bad I don't have a car anymore.

It is a short game though. MGS was. The first time took 8 hours or so cause of all the dialogue and newness. After that I was beating the game in a hour and a half (skipping dialogue of course). Beat it 3 times in a day on some occasions trying to get the best time.

Yeah, once I'm off work this afternoon I'm going to mosey on down to Gaymestop and pick up myself a copy of this game. It's only 40 bucks so I dont feel bad about dropping the cash on it. It's sad that the only games I own on Gamecube are re-makes of other games from other systems :(

Holy shit this game is alot of fun. Some fun features of this game is the massive intro with extra cut scenes along with the first person shooter mode. After the DARPA chief died and I killed the strike team in the prison cells. I found a book in the bathroom that you can place on the floor to distract other gaurds. And when they come to look at the book you strangle the everloving shit out of them. >:

Revolver Ocelot is a bitch in this game.

I've heard the ninja fight is awesome too.

It's a full on MATRIX STYLE BATTLE between Snake and Grey Fox. This game rules.

Yeah it is a great remake. Very well done. They had quite the dream team staff for this game so I'd hope so. Was pretty hard to find up here, kept selling out too. Finally got it on Saturday.

If I Liked MGS2 (loved it) should I pick this up?

And, is it worth buying a gamecube for this? Assuming I will be buying all the res evil remakes as well

Well only the orginal Resident Evil has a remake ( a sweet one at that). The rest are ports and Resident Evil Zero is exclusive to Cube but isn't good.

To your first question: I'd say pick this up. This is pretty much like the second one but with a story multiple times better.
