Because, you know, Muslims never produced *any* art or did *anything* useful (even in the 7-800 years between the 8th century and the crusades), that whole story about them inventing algebra and moving medical practice out of the dark ages was just a myth. And they never contributed to architecture, which is why you don't see big spires and stuff all over eastern Europe. And of course if they hadn't been slammed back into one little corner of the world by bloody righteous Catholics and had been allowed to flourish, they still would have stopped advancinc culturally right then and there.
