I did abysmally poor on my SATs. I got like an 1100 or something. It's been so long I don't exactly remember. And yet, ironically, I display a better command of the english language than many who scored higher.

I don't test very well under those kinds of conditions. I never liked being timed. Whenever I'd take a normal test in school, sure, there was a time limit because the class was only an hour or whatever. But it's different when you know you have your normal window of time to work in versus someone standing over you with a stopwatch.
