this is nothing new. bands pull this type of gimmicks all the time. they'd make up shit about themselves as a marketing ploy. the more bullshit you spew, the more you sell. shockery has alway been the secret and the best tool to selling bullshit. people love to be shocked and they want more of it. that's why marilyn manson was one of the biggest success, cuz 99 percent of him is total bullshit.
