Everyone wants to be told by the same five news companies that everything is A-Okay, and that America isn't being controlled by an unelected buffoon. The AOL/Time Warner merger allowed for much of the media to be brought under the control of a single company, and when ExxonMobil purchased large parts of AOL/TW, the "free" press was officially controlled by an oil company. There's no way out of this without a revolution.
A revolution that will never happen. This country has become contentedly ignorant. Or maybe it always was, and I'm finally growing up enough to realize it.
