James, all things considered, it may have hurt her, but looking at things realistically, she will get over it soon. Nothing against you or her, but realistically speaking, it won't take her long to find someone else to fall into attraction to. Assuming it's just a case of puppy love or even intermediate love, it won't take her TOO long to get over. Love hurts no matter what, so actually I think you did the right thing. And I actually have to applaud you for that, 99% of people would've just used her for their own means, and that (as in your choice) shows compassion, so I do endorse your decision.
