Vicky Tranter says on Saturday night the family let off fireworks from a Boom Box purchased from the Warehouse in a park near their home in Bishopdale.
She says her daughter was about 40 metres away when the firework, called a Heat Wave, malfunctioned and burst into a fire ball. They fired off about five fireworks which were fine and the sixth one shot everyway and went straight into her daughter's pram.
Her baby has third degree burns to her face, neck and chest, doctors told her a woolen singlet saved her from more severe burns. |
