Bobby Martin, a legless man, successfully plays football for Colonel White High School in Dayton, Ohio. He's also on the wrestling team.
There are also a couple of successful wrestlers with no legs (Paco Torres comes to mind) or, in the case of Kyle Maynard no arms or legs aside from stumps.

All that said, my money is still on the armless fellow if this is an unarmed (no pun) fight. He will have striking ability, reach, leverage and perhaps greater mobility. My money is on a boot to the head over a chokehold.
