Who plays Guitar Hero for the graphics?
You can't even really watch them while you're playing anyway. I find them to be appropriate for the game since I tend to feel that low-grade graphics lend themselves well to rhythm games (see PaRappa.)
I might be a little more
forgiving of GH3 since it's the first GH I've played, but I'm having a lot of fun with it.
