When I was in high school, I knew a guy who was in army intelligence in WWII - he was among the first American soldiers to infiltrate German High Command. As such soldiers could take whatever they wanted with impunity, he ended up with an incredible collection of Nazi memorabilia. My class had the fortune to see the entire collection - it was at once impressive, astonishing, revolting and nauseating. Not all at the same time.
