It could have been food poisoning. Only, with a couple of exceptions, the bf has eaten the same stuff the past few days and hasn't been sick at all.

We did eat at a Mexican place that got in trouble for food poisoning before, but that was an isolated incident (sick worker didn't wash hands) and the place has been very clean ever since.
