Sounds like the problem here with kids and smoking is brand association. They see bright colors in advertising and they see the same bright colors on the boxes they come in and they make the link in their mind.

I would think rather than ban all these different flavor Cigs they should just come up with strict packaging guidelines. Make all the cig boxes plain white with a small logo on the bottom right corner of the box so that they eliminate brand association.

I never smoked myself but it seems to me the government has declared a silent war against smokers. In less than a decade they have been pushed outside, had brands outlawed, and been treated like second class citizens. I am in favor of some places being smoke free, but now they are banning it in places where smokers primarily gather, such as bars and bowling alleys. Even with the second hand smoke outside you will still get exposed to it as you come from outside to in the building, so it is pointless to pretend it matters. Seems a bit silly to me. Either ban cigarettes or don't. This half-assed pseudo-banning of some cigarettes in some places is just transparent bullshit by politicians.
