1. setup is no excuse for tepid, stiff writing.
2. "classic storytelling" is a euphamism for velveeta grade mediocrity that allow assholes like speilberg to still release sentimental claptrap. a new hope has awful dialogue and aborted character development. it's unimaginative, so i guess you could call it "classic."
