yea that really pissed me off and totally ruined the experience for me.
I think LURK has a weapon mod so its probably a good one to start off with.
only thing about weapon mods is that it makes you die faster too :O until you get combat armor or something :O i remember finding a stash of like 2 really good combat armors and after that i just rocked a shotgun with slugs and killed everybody.
