My GF just pointed me toward this (she knows I have been borderline obsessed with this since I heard about it) which seems to have a couple new tidbits of info

So it seems to be a media said/nuclear people said situation. Personally I think as with most he said/she saids, the truth is somewhere in the middle, though I am rooting for the nuclear commission being right because that means no death and disaster.
