It's a great game, although it had the potential to be
so much better. A lot of the great ideas in it went to waste because the developers didn't bother to flesh them out and make them really enjoyable, the difficulty was completely unbalanced, and the entire thing was way too short. I'm hoping that if a remake is ever made they'd fix everything they left undone and expand on all of the neat concepts they introduced (especially the level where you're riding the ostrich through the city while fighting the mech tossing bombs and shit at you), and up the difficulty so that half of it isn't insultingly easy.
Although despite all of the fuckups Treasure made while making this game, it is still fucking awesome as hell. You should buy it, like, right now :o
