So to answer your question, no, we're not serious at all, hence the "mockery" in the name of the site.
Best thing a person can do on the forums is grow a thick skin and learn to not only laugh at the ridiculousness of everyone and everything around them, but also to laugh at themselves. Not a bad life lesson either.
