No, he was civilly liable for both deaths. :legal
How many books did that trial spawn, anyway? Darden, Clark, Ito, at least two jurors, Cochran, and, of course, the infamous (and eventually repackaged) "If I Did It" by the murderer himself. That makes 7, so there's probably at least 20.
