I was seriously wondering about this last night. I sent him an email to his HOTMAIL account, and he hasn't responded. No myspace visits since March, no LJ posts since 2006, and to my memory, no AIM conversations with me since before his vision quest began.
New Zealand has the highest suicide rate in the world, last I heard.
