Whether the help is "token" or not, it will be needed. Especially considering the message Turkey put out this morning. For those of you who missed it, they repeated their support to the US in allowing air access into Iraq, however disallowed the use of ground troups. Why?

Because they decided they were going to invade Northern Iraq for the land and oil. The Kurd said they'd fight them, the US told them not to push it, and Turkey responded they had every right to do so as the US did.

Yeah, we could use some friends, because this could potentially turn alot uglier than alot of people initially surmised.
