When I was doing research about the Templar Knights in college, I came across this theory.

Its also the big secret of the Davinci Code by Dan Brown. Supposedly7 Leo was part of some secret society that was in on the big conspiracy

Think about what something like this would do to Christianity if it were true. Its not militantism. Pardon us if we have a hard time with someone trying to debunk one of the basic beliefs in our faith.
