i'm not a vegan. i take iron pills, too, but i had to take those before i stopped eating meat cause i'm slightly anemic.

believe me, i'm a healthy veggie. my fren don mcqueen actually looked shocked when i told him i didn't eat meat. he said something along the lines of "with that body? girrrrrrrrrrrl, i could just imagine what you'd look like if you did!"

red meat made me feel icky, so i stopped eating it. chicken always grossed me out when i really thought about it and seeing all those veins and lungs in chicken breasts (the ones with bones) freaked me out. so i quit poultry. then i started readin stuff and i said fuck eating fish.

it was mostly for health reasons, but it's also for all the animals sake. i don't like hurting things, so i choose not to eat things that are hurt.

the irony is that i smoke cigarettes. so much for being healthy.

atkins is hard to do, and there may be negetive side effects I'd just try to cut down on carbohydrates and cut up on exercise :/ same old diet that's been there forever

it does have dramatic results over short periods thoguh so if you need something to get STARTED maybe just do a month or so and then just stop drinking sodas and eating chips and run a mile every day :/

I lived in a house with vegetarians before and it was strange. They ate lot's of Soy and in the winter they ate canned vegetables and this one guy kept saying that I should become a vegetarian so my shit wouldn't smell :/ a bonus...yes, but being a pasty faced fag isn't my thing

i hate canned veggies.

soy just may be the perfect food, seriously. the only thing that sucks about it is that in it's true form, it just doesn't taste all that good. luckily it tend to takes on the flavor of whatever you cook it in.

i'm pale because i use sunscreen and refuse to lay out in the sun, not because i don't eat meat.

What on urth could cause you to stop eating fish? It is just about the only animal I can eat, and a damn good one at that. There are just about no downsides to eating fish. (besides overeating and biulding up a mercury level potent enough to kill a whale)

I was vegetarian for about 6 years - vegan for 3. For me the reason had absolutely nothing to do with animal rights, just that I was disgusted at the thought of handling raw flesh and saw a nasty documentary on pigs. Since I've started eating meat again though I don't feel any different. I was expecting a big stamina boost or something. The only differences I've noticed are that I'm less of a burden to other people in eating situations and I feel full after I eat when I eat meat (which is about once a week or so).

i'd be a vegetarian if i liked vegetables. :P
my aunt and uncle have lost tons of weight on that diet, but a doctor friend of mine told me it was dangerous to keep your body in ketosis for long periods of time.
when i regulated my carbs on the diabetic diet i had to be on when i was pregnant last time, i felt so much healthier.
if only bread weren't so yummy.

Any fucking 'diet', by definition isn't going to work. Its a quick fix. If you dont change eating habits permamnently, its not going to work. The atkins diet is a complete con, and a fast track to an early grave. Dont eat too much fatty food, eat lots of fresh fruit and veg and exercise. Thats all there is too it. Thats how I retain my girlish figure. And drumming for a hardcore band helps also
