He can, but that's not the problem. 3 of his attacks are a slight variant of the spindash, which is incredibly easy to avoid. For one thing, he is (surprise) fast, but it just doesn't make up for the poorness of his character.

i'm not exactly surprised, because seriously, what the fuck else does sonic do other than spindash?
i played around with olimar the other day and i was pleased. definitely needs to be studied to be used effectively.

If Sonic didn't have speed or the Spin Dash, I'd say he would be pretty useless, but having 3 different types of Spin Dash is pretty dumb.
