You will love Black Flag. Their guitarist, Greg Ginn, was fairly good at shredding in a sloppy fashion, and they are balls-out fast

You should be able to find some stuff in some pawnshop that plays underground stuff. They were considered legends of punk, although not mainstream. I'd just look it up on some file-share thing. Damaged is prolly their best known album. This may sound ironic (considering they are pretty noncomercial), but I heard TV Party in some clothes stores, and I thought "now this is real punk".
