Yes there was. She jabs a cob right into the back of a cop.

This is one of those movies that you don't want to always remember, but when you do re-watch it, you find yourself happy that you did.

First time poster, long time reader. I just had to say this movie is the reason that i got a cat when i was a younger. I know with my faithful cat Shogun of the unstoppable claw kitty at large (best cat name ever) I'm safe form all strange life sucking, shape shifting incestuous cat monsters in the world.

This one's memorable for all the wrong reasons. But it is ok if taken as high camp. And wasn't Mädchen Amick cute back then?

I saw it ages ago...I remember the mother kept playing this Hawaiian tune on the record player and always getting the son to dance with her.

I saw this one a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it was hilarious. I thought the whole cat thing was pretty crazy too, and the "Corn Cob" death scene is epic. Also, when the mother blows up cop cars with one shot of a gun, I started cracking up. Cheesy but entertaining movie.

The song that they're always playing in the movie is "Sleepwalk" by Santo & Johnny - great guitar riff!... This song was also featured in "La Bamba". The Corn on the Cob kill is one of the cheesiest but greatest in my opinion, and overall the movie was a good popcorn flick. No wonder Alice Krige seemed familiar in Star Trek First Contact, I had not realized she was also in this movie.

I remember a terrible pun going with the hand ripping scene. Something along the lines of "Everyone needs a hand sometimes, Mr. *insert character name*, here's your's."

I think the part that stays with me the most is when Brian Krause stabs the cop in the ear with a pencil, then says "COP-KABOB!" Although It's pretty silly, I enjoyed this one a lot more than most of the new horror movies coming out now.
