Magnificent, Max. Now I better go out and look for hardback books while hoping not to spill hot soup where I am eating.

Hey, a bite of good Matzo-ball is a terrible thing to waste, and even worth a little embarrassment. You did the right thing.

And, the book does indeed sound quite good. I have been looking for an excuse to go to a bookstore, lately.

also:"chubby, baby-like, nearly vestigial little legs I am currently imagining you to have"

Max, you need your own television show.

I actually used to read Cracked Magazine (along with Mad) all the time. It's sad that their attempt to modernize it failed, but on the bright side they've managed to survive as a pretty sweet comedy website. In fact, they just released a snarky article announcing that they now feel sorry for Mad, which recently announced that they were being reduced to a quarterly publication, and that their tangentially related TV show is over.

Seeing as Mad has a sucky website that never adds new content, and Cracked has an award winning website that updated every day, you can kind of see their point even though the article is pretty sarcastic. The paradigm has shifted. Here's hoping Mad can recover.

I used to LOVE Mad and Cracked when I was a kid, but somewhere in the late 90s Mad really started to suck (and I never liked the TV show), but Cracked stayed pretty good for awhile longer.

Still, it's sad what's happening to these magazines, both (Mad especially)being American institutions. I guess humor websites (like this one) are their successors, and Cracked evolved nicely with it's site.

But, the heart of those magazines were always parody comics of popular movies and shows, rather than the sarcastic article based humor of these sites. Maybe Mad should return to it's roots as a pure comic book, sold to comic stores. They won't make the kind of money they made in their heyday as a magazine, but they'll at least survive, and there would be a place for satirical comics.

MAD can't go online! How are you supposed to do the fold in?
I visit the CRACKED website - updated articles everyday tends to fill in lunch time at work fairly well.
