I'm still not where I want to be in life, but I'm getting there. Slowly and surely.

I had jobs wear I liked what I was doing, Ie: Baker, Electrition, Movie Theater Asst. Manager...
Then after awhile you just hate it. I can't stand the smell of fresh bread, I hate wiring shit, the smell of popcorn makes me ill.

It's better to have a job where your just alright doing it, and keep you favorite things to do as hobbies.

I had to take a pay cut, but I'm now doing something I absolutely love. Sucks that it took 31 years to figure out what I wanted to do with my life, but I couldn't be happier.

It is super secret, so I can't tell you what it is. BUT IT'S BIG.

I'm doing pretty good, I think. The company I did my co-op terms with hired me before I had even finished my degree and I got a sweet corner office on the fourth floor with a bit of a view. :D

Is it the most exciting stuff in the world? No, not really, but it's challenging at times which is really all I could have hoped for from an entry level position in software development. I'd hate to be wasting my degree making websites or answering tech support calls for someone.

I've moved up the ladder a fair bit over the last two years (over 230 people in the company) and I get paid more than all my friends and my benefits are pretty sweet. The only way I could really get a better job is to move to a different city.

If you mean making a career out of being a student, then no.

I've never really had a stable, crystallized idea of what I want to do. I imagine I'll bounce around a bit before I die. I think it's better for me this way, honestly. I intend to be flexible.

That being said, what I'll do will most likely involve the arenas of medicine (most likely brain/mind-related disciplines), health policy, global health, ethics and philosophy, and research. This may seem to leave things wide open but I have some more specific ideas in mind. I'm pretty comfortable with this working plan.

I worked for a couple of years in an architect's office which was cool but the pay wasn't great, as it is now I'm 25 and taking my Diploma which will put me that little bit closer to being a fully qualified architect.

It's been a real shock losing a steady income and going back to counting the pennies, but there's plenty of time for work in the future and I know I'd regret it if I didn't return to study.

SO did things turn out as I expected - not quite but pretty close. Plenty of my friends have been working for 4-5 years and have a lot more ready cash than me but whether they enjoy it is another question altogether.

My philospohy is we have such little time on this rock that if something isn't enjoyable, it simply isn't worth doing.

I work as a QA manager at a software company and it is quite boring. The pay is alright though, and I get to travel a lot. I live in Shanghai now and have the opportunity of working remotely, which is also great. This is definitely not what I want to do with my life career-wise (any kind of office work is hell to me), but it affords me the chance to do some of the things I do want to do.

I struggled for ten years in jobs I hated, simply to maintain a life I was not satisfied with. A few years ago I quit my job and spent two years traveling. I too realized that my art (god that sounds cheesy) was what I wanted to focus my energy on. It took some time, but I am now able to support myself and play music full-time. In fact, I have finally achieved a modicum of success with my "art." I encourage everyone to follow their creative impulses. I felt incomplete until I fulfilled that desire.

What kind of art do you do and how do you make money off it

Oh, I meant that music is my art. Shitty wording there, sorry.

I work (very) part-time at a guitar shop, and I make money playing the local bars...both in a regular rock cover band and my personal projects. Of course, I have other random sources of income, too...

Believe me, I don't make much, but I am able to pay my rent, feed myself and my cat, and have some fun. I went to college and have had my share of good jobs, but I'm happier now. My band is currently recording, and I'm actually excited about the future, even if I have to live on Kraft Dinner and tuna for sometimes...

i make decent money, and my job is really weird--but for all that i hate my day job.

but i work part time as a waiter at Outback, and i love it. it is really fun, i have made a lot of nice friends, and make a lot of money. max if there is an outback near you give it a try for part time. i usually make about 100.00 per four hour shift, not bad cheese for part time.

these two jobs are funding my soon to be started movie company. my movies will suck and it will take years till they get good, but i got nothing but time.

I think I like my job.

I am a fire extinguisher tech. I go to different places and inspect, maintain, and repair fire extinguishers.

The upside is that I get to see places that I would never get to see or that I would never think to bother seeing. Crematoriums, country clubs, homeless shelters, various skyscrapers. Just today I did a well known armored car business. If you want a reason to piss yourself, try doing your job with three security guards (not the silly mall guards, actual licensed conceal/carry guards) with guns out all ready to shoot you if they think you are trying anything funny.

Some of it sucks, especially on really hot and really cold days, but it is all life experience, and I am always ready to enjoy life experiences.
